Objective
Sociolympics team identify talent by the means of competitions and talent hunt shows at various levels which include district, state and National level in areas such as cooking, painting, dancing, debating, writing, modelling, acting, etc.
Sociolympics encompass recognising the various talents of children with special needs.
To nurture the talent discovered in through the process, the team at Sociolympics organize special training programs for children with special needs, parents and teachers. These training programs will serve to provide continual improvement. They will also act as a hub for creativity, recreation, social interaction and skill enhancement.

Dance & Movement Therapy

Dance/movement therapy (DMT) is defined by the American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA) as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual, for the purpose of improving health and well-being. It is a holistic approach as it includes participation of both mind and body. It includes traditional dance styles like the ballroom to yoga movements which calm the body.

Art Based Therapy (ABT)

Art Based Therapy uses art to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It treats the creative process of making art as a cure. Art Therapy brings out hidden emotions and contributes towards exploring oneself. It reinstates one’s confidence in oneself. The American Art Therapy Association describes art therapy as an approach to mental health that utilizes the process of creating art to improve mental, physical, and emotional wellness.
